Preparation:
- Heat your water to the target temperature for your chosen recipe.
- Rinse the AeroPress filter paper and cap with hot water to preheat the brewer.
- Set the plunger to the “4” mark, flip the AeroPress upside down, and place it on your scale.
Brewing Steps:
- Add your ground coffee and tare the scale.
- Pour 30–40g of water. Swirl the AeroPress 5 times or pour in a circular motion to ensure all coffee is fully saturated. Let it bloom for 30 seconds.
- Pour the remaining water in a circular motion over the next 30–45 seconds. Lock the filter cap on tightly.
- Gently flip the AeroPress over onto your server or carafe. Remove the plunger briefly, agitate the brew with a spoon 5–10 times, and replace the plunger or swirl the AeroPress 5- 10 times.
- After 20-30 seconds of resting, begin pressing the plunger gently.
- Stop pressing the moment you hit the bottom and hear a hissing sound. Remove the AeroPress.
- Swirl the brew, serve, and enjoy.
Pro-tips:
- If pressing takes more than 20 seconds and feels too hard, adjust your grind slightly coarser next time.
- If it takes less than 20 seconds and feels too soft, adjust your grind finer.
